Request a tax consultancy quote
Tax advisors are bound by a fee ordinance issued by the Federal Minister of Finance with the consent of the Bundesrat (§§ 64 and 72 of the Tax Consultancy Act (StBerG). Tax advisors bill their fees according to the Tax Advisor Remuneration Ordinance (StBVV).
Initial tax consultations are charged at a rate of € 160 plus VAT and lasts a maximum of 1 hour (e.g. international tax law, real estate purchase or sale, severance consultation, holding structures, choice of legal form, structuring consultation, inheritance and donation).
There is a special reduced rate of € 120 plus VAT for start-up consultations lasting a maximum of 50-minute (e.g. questionnaire for tax registration, start-up consultation, application for tax number, business registration, review of business plan and expert opinion).
We request advance payments for initial consultations by telephone or in person, and will send you an advance invoice for this purpose. If the appointment is cancelled, we charge a cancellation fee of 35% of the fee plus VAT for administrative expenses incurred. In the event of a short notice cancellation within 24 hours of the appointment, there will be no fee refund.
The StBVV is based on so called value fees for the vast majority of our tax consultancy services or declaration advice. The fee for tax returns, annual financial statements and financial accounting is a value fee based on the value of the matter, also considering the time spent. Please note that StBVV usually contains a range between minimum and maximum fees for certain values. Regularly medium fees are the highest fees charged.
For payroll accounting StBVV allows either a frame of fixed amounts or alternatively a time fee.
Appeals and applications are charged either with a value fee or according to time effort involved.
Client satisfaction is a very important issue for us. We structure fees for our services, such as accounting, annual financial statements, tax advice and business start-up advice, in a fair way and in a reasonable proportion to the effort involved.
Cost for tax consultancy may regularly be included in tax returns as business expenses or income-related expenses if they incurred in the determination of income or are related to business issues. This then has the effect that a part of the tax consultant's fee (up to 51.08%) is returned to you through the tax savings.
